Tollywood is grieved by the demise of veterans Kaikala Satyanarayana, Chalapathi Rao. Even before one comes to terms with these, here is yet another shocking news. Gang Leader actor and filmmaker Vallabhaneni Janardhan, who was son-in-law of veteran filmmaker late Vijaya Bapineedu, died on Thursday at a private hospital. According to reports, Janardhan had been unwell and was admitted to hospital where he breathed his last. He was only 63.
Janardhan did notable character roles in 80s and 90s films. He was seen as a bad police officer in Chiranjeevi’s Gang Leader (1991) which went on to become a blockbuster and earned him fame. It became a memorable film in Janardhan’s acting career. He acted in films like Stuartupuram Dongalu, Balakrishna’s Lakshmi Narasimha, Surya IPS and et al.
He started his career early as a filmmaker. His first film as director Mamma Gari Manavalu was shelved due to financial issues. In 1983, his directorial Amayaka Chakravarthy, which was the remake of the Kannada film Manasa Sarovara, became a huge success. The film was produced by Vijaya Bapineedu. Janardhan also produced films like Srimathi Kavali and Paripoyina Kaithilu.
Tollywood expressed grief and shock over the passing away of Janardhan Vallabhaneni.
