December 30th is the last Friday of the year and as usual, we have Tollywood coming up with many films. The likes of Aadi Saikumar’s Top Gear, Bigg Boss fame Sohel’s Lucky Lakshman, Tarakratna’s S5, and a couple of other movies like Rajahyogam, Nuvve Na Pranam, Uttama Villain and others have hit cinemas. How did they perform at the box office anyway?
Despite promoting it well, hero Aadi Saikumar has once again seen the same old result of scoring an average to poor film with Top Gear. Though the film’s content idea is good, the way it got executed turns out to be a bore-fest. At the same time, all the craze he amassed in Bigg Boss will turn in his favour only if Syed Sohel comes up with interesting films. But “Lucky Lakshman” seems to be that outdated plot that appeals to none. At the same time, thriller movie S5 and other small budgets have been beaten to dust for their poor execution. Not even one of them has made any sense at the box office to click.
On a whole, the farewell Friday of 2022 isn’t impressive for Tollywood as none of the new films that have been released made any sense. At the same time, films like Dhamaka and Avatar 2 are still holding well in almost all the centres of Telugu states, minting crores of rupees.
