Other day, various box offices across central and South India have seen some interesting films released. And the big thing is that three senior heroines, who have once shaken the tinsel towns down the south, have seen their interesting films hitting the cinemas. Here comes an interesting snippet.
Apparently, Nayanthara hasn’t tasted success with her 90-minute film “Connect” as it failed to evoke the curiosity usually horror films would do. But then, she decided to release the film in Hindi as well and other day (Fri 30 Dec), Connect Hindi version got released in Bollywood. Of course, Nayan is in-form in the south circuits, but in Bollywood, she isn’t sought after so the film hasn’t made many ripples.
At the same time, another senior heroine Genelia, who quit movies after getting married and was blessed with two kids almost 10 years ago, wants to make a big comeback. She has banked on the Telugu film “Majili” remake and she reprised the role of Samantha in the Marathi version of this film which is titled “Ved”. Other day this film was released to positive reviews.
After losing her stardom years back, senior beauty Trisha Krishnan took time to make a comeback and some of her women-centric films haven’t seen the light of the day. But finally, she’s out with “Raangi” in theatres other day, as the film impressed her fans but not the critics.
For now, Genelia’s Ved clicked big time, Nayanthara’s Connect is completely forgettable and Trisha’s Raangi is passable.
