Nandamuri Balakrishna surprised everyone with his speech at the ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ pre-release event. He started his speech by remembering Sr NTR, thanked director B. Gopal and called him ‘Ongolian’, and also expressed his career ambition of playing the role of Genghis Khan.
Balakrishna praised the director Gopichand Malineni and said “What if two kracks meet at one place, that’s how the film shall be. The line of the film, which can also be heard in the trailer, is the greatest one and also similar to the epics like Ramayana and Mahabharatha.”
He also spoke about the female leads and said “Like Sai Madhav said actress Shruti Haasan & me hail from one of the great actors’ DNA & Malayalam actress Honey Rose has excelled in the role and I will not speak anything now see her in theatre”. He especially praised Duniya Vijay, the antagonist of the film.
Surprisingly he also became political a couple of times, mentioning that he is from all the castes that exist and indirectly referring to the NTR University title fiasco, which can also be seen in the trailer. He specially thanked director B. Gopal for gracing the event and said he shall for a sure act in the biopic of Gengis Khan which shall be directed by B. Gopal.
Balakrishna also mentioned that there’s much comedy in the film and he has changed his timing as well when it came to comedy and especially spoke of comedian Sapthagiri. He said that the film is like a volcano of multiple talents at it’s and praised the writers & producers for their dedication to the film
Directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ shall hit the screen on 12th January 2023.
