The Hindi version of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s last superhit film “Akhanda” is getting released in Bollywood now on January 26th, alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan movie. But the trailer of the film hasn’t created an impact though it happens to be the same version that excited Telugu fans a year ago.
While the dubbed Hindi voices aren’t appealing in the Akhanda trailer, many analysts felt that the film’s Hindi makers should have focused more on changing the visuals. Rather than just keeping the punch lines and fights in the trailer, they must have re-cut the trailer with visuals related to Lord Siva, and the importance of Siva Tatvam that Balayya’s role explains inside the movie. As films like Kantara and Karthikeya 2 worked out pretty well, surely adding that ‘devotional’ touch to the trailer would create wonders.
On the other hand, with Balayya currently busy promoting Veera Simha Reddy, one wonders if he could allot time to promote Akhanda as well. At least if he promotes the film along with Pragya Jaiswal and Thaman in Mumbai, surely the openings would be great for the movie. Let’s see what happens with the Hindi version of Akhanda anyway.
