Shakuntalam has beaten all my expectations and it has come out very well when it comes to carving a magical visual extravaganza. After watching the film, I fell at Gunasekhar’s feet and thanked him” said Samantha, as she came out in the open for the first time after months, after getting diagnosed with myositis.

Joining the trailer launch event of Shaakuntalam, Samantha has kicked fans into huge roars and shouts at the event, unlike any other superstar who enjoys that massive fan following. The moment she took the mic into her hands, the auditorium is full of shouts, but the actress promised that she will be speaking at length about everything related to this film, at the pre-release event of the movie. “Today I’ve come here because I want to see the love you will all shower on the film”, she said, kicking fans into excitement.

“In the history of Indian literature history, Shakuntala is one of the memorable characters written by Kalidasa in the 5th century. I’m so grateful and fortunate that I’ve bagged this character. This is all about how much I love cinema and I love cinema back”, she further said. Also, Samantha praised Dil Raju for investing a lot of money in the film without worrying about the budging production costs. She praised him for his love towards cinema.
