Talk: Nagarjuna Agreed To Pay In Crores?

Star hero Nagarjuna Akkineni is waiting for the right project to happen in his career after his recent movies flopped big time. He has picked up the story written by writer Prasanna Kumar of “Dhamaka” fame and is willing to make him a director too. While Nagarjuna took the final call on this project after looking at the success of Dhamaka, another interesting development also took place now, as per sources.

In fact, for writer Prasanna whose latest routine film “Dhamaka” also turned out to be a super hit and the producers claiming that the film made nearly ₹101+ crores gross already from the box office, the demand is high. While Nagarjuna is said to have offered him only ₹50 lakhs initially to write and direct the film, the writer is said to be demanding huge. After looking at Dhamaka’s success, the buzz is now coming out that Nagarjuna agreed to pay the ₹2 crores demanded by the writer.

Right now, many are wondering if it will be the first time in the history of Tollywood that a debutant director gets paid in crores while Tollywood is known for giving a salary for a period of 10 months to debutant directors and that will be only a couple of lakhs per month. On the other hand, writer Vakkantam Vamsi who used to charge crores for his story also didn’t get such a high paycheck for his debut film Na Peru Surya.
