Finally, the gracious Andhra Pradesh government has understood the need to hike ticket prices of the two Sankranthi biggies, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. After the producers applied for it, the permission for the hike came officially for the films and here is how much they have allowed.
For Megastar Chiru’s Waltair Veerayya the makers of the movie could hike the ticket price to ₹25 in all the centres for 10 days. In single-screen theatres of Vijayawada, the balcony price is at ₹110 currently and Second Class at ₹60 currently and this could be hiked to ₹135 and ₹85 respectively. In multiplexes of Vijayawada, Vizag, the tickets are being sold at ₹150 currently, and the hike will be applicable there too.
However, in Telangana, the hike is terrific and the ticket prices are touching the sky already. In Hyderabad, all the popular multiplexes are selling the tickets of Waltair Veerayya at ₹295, while single screens are selling ₹175 for each ticket.
Coming to Balayya’s Veera Simha Reddy, the hike of ₹20 is allowed officially and that will be applicable for 10 days as well. Compared to Telangana, the hike given by Andhra Pradesh is pretty much less, but the producers feel that something is better than nothing after the government already hit them hard with the Tickets GO a year ago.
