In a recent interview, debutant director Anil Kumar Aalla stated that ‘Kalyanam Kamaneeyam’ has got relatable situations and conflicts. Shiva (Santosh Shoban) and Shruti (Priya Bhavani Shankar) are the unemployed husband and working wife, respectively. The issues they have to grapple with post their marriage are going to be realistic.
The latest promotional song is a Wedding Anthem (released by pan-India sensation Prabhas) that drives home the importance of togetherness sanctified by marriage. Visuals of a wedding and the attendant festivities are the medium through which Krishna Kanth’s lyrics attempt to talk about why marriage is a sweet alliance. Sung and composed by Sri Charan Pakala, it has been choreographed by Yash. Shot by Suresh Sarangam, the song is enjoyable.
A highlight of the promo is the cameo appearance by Sharwanand, who is sorry for the male lead obediently taking instructions from his onscreen wife. The husband dutifully carries all household chores and in the end, gets mere sweet-nothings. But he doesn’t fret, for he knows marriage is a bond.
The film will hit the screens on January 14.
