Thalapathy Vijay’s latest outing Varisu is continuing its rampage at the box office. Especially the film is having a sensational run in Tamil Nadu. The collections are higher than Ajith’s Thunivu. Now, Varisu also joined the 100-crore club.
Within five days of its release, Varisu’s worldwide collections gross crossed the 100-crore mark. As the Pongal festive season has ended, the collections may take a dip from tomorrow.
Varisu was released in Tamil on January 11. The Telugu version Vaarasudu hit the screens on January 14. In Telugu, the collections are not good as the Tollywood box office is dominated by Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy.
Until now, Vijay’s nine films crossed the 100-crore mark. Now, Varisu joined the list. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shaam, Sangeetha and Nandini Rai played other main roles in the movie. Thaman composed the music for the film.
Dil Raju made his debut in Kollywood as a producer with the film and technically, this is his first 100-Cr film in Tamil.
