200 Cr Plus In 3 Days, Mythri Movies Dancing

Two major Sankranti releases Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya made it big at the Box Office. It’s a remarkable achievement that two films have crossed ₹ 100 crore mark.

Waltair Veerayya raked in ₹ 108 crore gross in 3 days and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy earned ₹ 104 crore gross in 4 days as per the producers. Veerayya is showing its complete dominance both in domestic market as well as overseas market. In USA, Veerayya made 1.73 million usd at bo whereas Veera Simha Reddy made 1 million usd. There is no stopping for Chiru’s Veerayya in all the regions notwithstanding the mixed reviews. It’s good in both multiplexes as well as mass pockets.

Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy is strong at B & C centres. However, theatres shortage is a huge issue for this film. Even as Vaarasudu garnered poor reviews and talk, producer Dil Raju is in no mood to give up the theatres. The theatres that were reduced for Vaarasudu are being added to Waltair Veerayya, say trade reports.

On the whole, both the biggies scored their best box office figures and the films numbers are holding well. 200 crore plus revenue by both the films is a rare feat. Chiru and Balayya made history this Sankranti.

Meanwhile, Vaarasudu turning out to be a colossal disaster. This is ending up as flop for Dil Raju. Even Ajith’s Thegimpu failed to draw footfalls into cinemas. The timing of Santosh Sobhan’s Kalyanam Kamaneeyam is being blamed by the trade. The film became hit by the clash of the titans Chiru and Balayya. Overall, this Sankranti, audiences gave thumbs up to the commercial and mass films.
