Now, All the ‘Mega’ Pressure Shifts To Meher!

Chiranjeevi scored back-to-back failures. His last three films Sye Raa, Acharya and Godfather have failed to meet the expectations. However, he made a surprise bounceback with Waltair Veerayya.

Although the film bagged mixed reviews, it went on to be a money spinner at the Box Office. Some of the film’s success credit goes to the Sankranti festive season as well. Now that Chiru bounced back with Veerayya, all eyes are on his next Bhola Shankar.

Bhola Shankar also marks the comeback of director Meher Ramesh who has been struggling to score a success. Chiru returned to the sets of the film and the unit celebrated Veerayya’s success.

No doubt, the success of Veerayya gives a big boost to Bhola Shankar, which is the remake of Vedalam. But the point to be noted is that Veerayya isn’t a remake. Whereas Godfather was a remake. So, the comparisons between Bhola Shankar and Vedalam would be inevitable. Here lies the Meher’s talent to overcome this and score success with Bhola Shankar.

After Shadow’s disaster result, Meher was kept out completely. It is Chiru who gave his career a breather with this film. It could be his second innings as a director.

Now, if he makes Bhola Shankar a success, then there is no stopping for him as all doors in the industry would be open for him. Meher has to prove his mettle once again to make a strong comeback. For this, he should not bank heavily on Veerayya’s success. Instead he should focus on Bhola Shankar. Only then, Meher could silence his critics.
