One of the biggest box office battles that Tollywood has seen in recent times is not definitely the release clash of Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. The real clash happened between Dil Raju and the rest of the industry as the ace producer targeted Telugu biggies with his dubbing film Varasudu. If not for Dil Raju, this film won’t get 300 show count on its day of release, surpassing Balayya’s film show count.
And now, the biggest discussion that is happening in Tollywood is, if the producer will be repeating the same scene for the next Sankranthi as well. But then, the scenario will be quite different at that time as that will be literally a clash between two mega heroes. While Raju is contemplating releasing Ram Charan and Shankar’s film for the next Sankranthi, it is coming out that even Mythri Movie Makers is planning Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 for the same festival.
As Mythri got full hands-on experience regarding distributing and releasing their movies on their own, through Veerayya and Veera Simha, definitely they know better this time as to how they should plan the release of Pushpa 2. And then, if Dil Raju is targeting #RC15 on the same date, surely the theatres’ crunch will be heavy.
But industry biggies including the ones from the Mega family might not let this clash happen, as they don’t want to split the fans. At the same time, if Dil Raju and Mythri decide to take heads-on, then things will be on a different scale.
