Bollywood’s controversial queen Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in ‘Emergency’ which is based on the emergency events that took place in India in the year 1975. The national emergency was introduced by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Kangana is reprising the role of Indira Gandhi though it’s not a biopic.
The shooting of the film has been wrapped and Kangana turned emotional on its completion. “As I wrap Emergency as an actor today…. a tremendously glorious phase of my life comes to its full completion… It may seem I sailed through it comfortably but the truth is far from it,” wrote Kangana in her Instagram post.
But Kangana dropped a big update that she mortgaged her properties for this film because she is directing as well as producing it. “From mortgaging all my properties, every single thing that I owned to being diagnosed with dengue during the first schedule and having to film it inspite of alarmingly low blood cell counts, my character as an individual has been severely tested,” added Kangana.
Kangana’s revelation might appear like a showoff thing for her detractors and she has a message for them too in the same post. “I have been very open about my feelings on SM but I didn’t share all this, honestly because i didn’t want people who cared to worry unnecessarily and those who desperately want to see me fall and were doing everything to make me suffer, i didn’t want to give them the pleasure of my pain,” stated Kangana.
This is a daring decision from Kangana and no other actress would have done the same if she was in the shoes of Kangana. The ‘Manikarnika’ actress is fighting a lone battle against Bollywood industry mafia and she is receiving no support from anyone whatsoever. Despite all odds, Kangana took a huge risk for ‘Emergency’ and hope her sacrifice would pay off big time.
