In the whole of last year, though a couple of Hindi movies did well with more than ₹200+ crores in box office revenues, most of the big ticket movies just flopped. And they didn’t even have great openings too. On that note, one of the biggest and happiest news for Bollywood is none other than Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan, which will hit cinemas next Friday.
Almost all the big multiplexes like PVR and INOX have opened the ticket sales of Pathaan, almost 10 days in advance. With five days to go before the release of the movie, currently, the film has sold around 2.65 lakhs tickets at these multiplexes together.
All this ticket sale will go into the Day 1 collection of the movie. And if we look at the Top 3 ticket sales of Bollywood after the pandemic, it is KGF2 got nearly 5.15 lakhs sold for its release day, which is followed by Brahmastra’s 3.02 lakh ticket sales.
Going by the speed at which Pathaan ticket sales are going on, surely many are expecting that the film will surpass KGF2 ticket sales by the team the release date is around the corner. That will be a new record for sure, and Bollywood is also eagerly waiting for a Hindi film to shatter records crafted by the likes of KGF and Baahubali. Let us see what happens.
