The highly-anticipated film “Varisu,” starring actors Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, recently premiered in theaters across the globe. The film has received mixed reviews from audiences. This marks the first time that Vijay and Mandanna have collaborated on a project. Post the film’s release, Rashmika faced criticism for her mundane role. She was seen as Vijay’s brother’s wife’s sister in the film.
However, Rashmika expressed no dissatisfaction with her character. Despite having little screen time, Mandanna is content with her participation in the film as she wanted to collaborate with Vijay and she did.
When asked about the same, Rashmika revealed that she consciously picked up the project only to star alongside Thalapathy Vijay. At the same time, Rashmika even joked with Vijay on the film’s sets that she has nothing substantial to play in the film.
“I used to go to Vijay sir and say ‘I have nothing to do except the two songs’,” she revealed in a recent interview.
Rashmika, of late, is facing a lot of criticism for her comments on the film Kantara and also for her choice of movies. She debuted in Bollywood but is unable to score a hit. But, the actress mentioned that she started ignoring the criticism and began focusing on work more consciously.
