Forget about the average quality visual effects and beaten-to-death storyline, but what lies at the heart of action films is the way they would engage the audience and make them feel the thrill. That’s where Shahrukh Khan’s “Pathaan” succeeded other day as the film is currently the talk of Bollywood, and it is literally minting huge collections.
Talking about Pathaan, one Telugu film that is pretty close to the storyline, genre and thrills of that film is none other than Akhil Akkineni’s “Agent”. Due to bad quality VFX, a change of few scenes and reshoots, Agent being carved by Surender Reddy got delayed for a long time.
And now that Pathaan is out, the makers are said to be feeling the pressure as Telugu folks didn’t like this Hindi film too well though it is on its way to becoming a blockbuster in Hindi circuits. Lack of gripping emotional quotient is the major factor for that. That is said to be bothering Akhil’s Agent as well now.
All these talks aside, Agent got delayed for a long time and everyone is expecting that this Republic Day the makers are going to lock the date.
