Already Netflix announced during Sankranthi even that they are acquiring #SSMB28 which is coming up in the combination of Superstar Mahesh and wizard of words Trivikram. And the latest update is that the OTT giant has acquired the film for a whopping amount which is almost equal to the theatrical business of the movie. Even before the film went to the sets, Netflix made a big deal with the production house to grab the rights of #SSMB28 for all the languages. Also, Netflix is trying to get a deal with Rajamouli as well for Mahesh’s next.
Ever since it has come out that the subscriptions of Netflix (mobile users) are going up in India, the OTT giant has focused a lot on Telugu films. Though Telugu original series is not getting approved by the streaming company, Telugu films are getting a lot of attention from them.
