It’s September 2nd and it’s Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. Millions of fans across the world are celebrating this memorable day by carrying out social service and charity activities, apart from cutting cakes and all the hungama.
But, not so surprisingly, Pawan himself doesn’t celebrate his birthdays much. In a latest video interview, the ever reticent star revealed that he was never comfortable with the idea of celebrating his birthdays, cutting cakes and people stuffing his mouth with cakes.
“The middle class and lower middle class mindset is still deeply rooted inside me since my childhood in Nellore. Even in my childhood days, I hardly celebrated my birthdays and only distributed chocolates in school a couple of times. Sometimes I used to go to my brother’s place or they used to come over on my birthdays. And most of the times, I and everyone in my family used to forget my birthdays and only remembered 2, 3 days later,” Pawan quipped.
Adding further, Pawan said that he used to buy books whenever his Vadinamma (sister-in-law Surekha) remembered his birthdays and gave him pocket money. Even after I entered movies, my friends and producers forced me to cut cakes and celebrate my birthdays on a couple of occasions. But I wasn’t comfortable and stopped it afterwards,” Pawan said.
Pawan then talked about Janasainiks and Janasena Veera Mahilas’ ‘Seva Vaarotsavaalu’ and donating oxygen cylinders to fight COVID-19 for his birthday this year. He said that he has a lot of gratitude towards his ardent fans and that he is thankful to god for giving him such a loyal fan base.
