K. Viswanath and Chiranjeevi had a long-standing professional relationship and a deep mutual respect for each other’s work in the Telugu film industry. Viswanath was a master filmmaker renowned for his exceptional storytelling abilities, and Chiranjeevi was a versatile actor who brought dynamic energy to each of his roles.

The two first worked together in the 1982 film “Swayam Krushi,” where Chiranjeevi starred in the lead role. The film was a huge success, both commercially and critically, and solidified Chiranjeevi’s position as a top actor in the industry.

Over the years, the two continued to collaborate on several other films. Their films together were known for their strong themes, dynamic characters, and memorable performances.

Aside from their professional relationship, Viswanath and Chiranjeevi also had a close personal connection. Chiranjeevi has often spoken highly of Viswanath’s mentorship and guidance and has credited him with being a major influence on his career. Similarly, Viswanath has praised Chiranjeevi’s versatility and talent as an actor and has often spoken highly of his dedication to his craft.

Even during the promotions of Waltair Veerayya, in one of the interviews, Chiranjeevi recollected an incident as to how Viswanath once sent curd rice to the caravan after knowing that the actor did not eat anything. “He is like a fatherly figure to me, and whenever I go and meet him, I become his child.” said Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi emotionally mourned the demise of K Viswanath and the Megastar took to his Twitter profile and wrote a note.
