Some director and writer duos click so well that people always enjoy their films. But at a certain point of time, these duos often get into ugly fights of ‘who gets the credit’ and often writers accuse that directors are not giving them enough credit for giving such a story to them. And they break up.
We have seen the likes of Koratala Siva breaking up with Boyapati Sreenu, popular duo Sreenu Vaitla and Kona Venkat snapping the ties and then Vakkantam Vamsi deciding to break from Surender Reddy. After the super success of Race Gurram and Kick, differences between Suri and Vamsi have grown big, and the flop show of Kick 2 resulted in a breakup.
Later on, director Surender Reddy has seen moderate success with Dhruva and Sye Raa, but haven’t scored a big hit. Then came Vakkantam, whose stories for films like Touch Chesi Choodu ended up as flops, while his directorial debut Naa Peru Surya ended up as a big flop. And during that time Vakkantam cried foul that Surender Reddy hasn’t given him the needed credit.
But now, Vakkantam Vamsi himself revealed that he is giving story for Surender Reddy’s next which happens to be #PSPK29 being produced by Ram Talluri and featuring Pawan Kalyan as the leading man. Hope the combination goes on to score a big hit and continues doing so, burying all the differences.
