Despite being Telugu folks, directors duo Raj and DK have scored it quite big in Bollywood, especially with their web series that are being streamed on big OTT platforms. After enthralling with two seasons of “The Family Man”, they have now come up with “Farzi”, a series centred around counterfeit notes and how national agencies deal with their smugglers.
The series is a bit slow but has impressive performances from the likes of Shahid Kapoor, the artist who makes notes and Vijay Sethupathi, the officer who is on a mission to catch fake-note smugglers. The likes of Raashi Khanna and Kay Kay Menon also added a vibe to the show. However, what catches the attention of Telugu folks is the conversation between Sethupathi and his estranged wife, played by Regina, as they speak in Telugu and Tamil, and Hindi as well as English.
Raj&DK tried to showcase that both Regina and Vijay’s characters had TElugu roots, and that underlines the fact that the directors’ duo love their TElugu identity to the core and showed the same inside this series. This is not the first time they have kept Telugu dialogues in their Hindi ventures. Well, Telugu folks are feeling proud of these acts as well as the series.
