Nivetha Thomas is all set for the release of her upcoming film V which will stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 5. Directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, this film has Nani, Sudheer Babu, and Aditi Rao Hydari. In this interview, the actress opens up on her character, acting with Nani for the third time, exciting cast and a lot more.
V’s been exciting for us since the announcement. How about you?
I am super excited. Have been waiting to talk about this film for a long time now and you know I can’t. When the cast was announced during the puja, only the names were announced and we left it to the audiences to let them decide who is paired with whom. And that has been exciting to me a lot. Also, the plot has been something that I am in awe with.
Can you reveal about your character?
Yes, of course. I play Apoorva, someone who is working on a crime novel. She has a lot of things that she needs to know. So she is not what you see. Apoorva is a lot more different and I think that is the reason I chose to do this film. I have loved this character so much that I couldn’t say no. Indraganti sir writes characters in such a beautiful way.
How was working with Nani for the third time?
Nani is like family now. I have debuted with Gentleman, which was Indraganti Sir’s film, and with Nani as well. We worked together for Ninnu Kori again and now for V. He has always guided me with the best and has helped me evolve into a good actor. It is always a pleasure working with him.
How is the feeling on an OTT release?
It is definitely great. V has been made for a theatre experience. Call it the interval bang or the twists… the film is for theatres. But we all have no choice and so, have decided to release it on Amazon Prime Video.
