Dhanush’s period action film Sir which talks about the education system in our country celebrated its pre-release event in a majestic manner. Ace director Trivikram Srinivas too graced the occasion, alongside the film’s unit.
Producer Naga Vamsi said, “We planned paid premieres a day prior to release. Within one hour, two shows got fulls. Like how confident we’re, the audience also has much expectations on the movie. You won’t be disappointed.”
Director Venky Atluri said, “Mani Ratnam and Trivikram are my biggest inspiration. Directing a film produced by Trivikram Sir is a big thing for me. Samyuktha is more beautiful and it’s a pleasure working with her. Yuvaraj brought life to the movie. GV Prakash provided wonderful music and Mastaaru song became viral. Naveen Nooli predicted the movie to do well. He cut the film fantastically. Dhanush is like a Nadaswaram. We can’t see anything when we see him on screen. I’m fortunate to say action and cut to him. Sir will be watched for 4 weekends in AP, TS and at least 8 weekends in Tamil.”
Trivikram Srinivas said, “I appreciate Venky for making a movie on teachers. He told me the story during covid. He wanted to make it with Dhanush. My wife read the script and when she watched the movie she said the movie came out well. It’s a good complement. Education and healthcare are to be available for everyone, that’s the soul and that’s what I liked the most. Education can bring change in the lifestyle of the common man. A scene about parents made me emotional. Though it’s a period film in 2000, the story is still relevant.
This movie will be remembered for a long time. In Indian cinema history, Dhanush is one of the finest stars among current generation of stars. He is fearless. He keeps on working. He doesn’t bother about hits and flops. Language is not a barrier to an Indian cinema now. Venky, you made a good movie. GV has done a great job. Let’s welcome Dhanush in a grand way. Chinababu garu didn’t say anything negatively about the movie which is the biggest confidence for us.”
Dhanush said, “My first movie was released in 2002. I was very nervous back then. My first Telugu film is releasing in Telugu in 2023. I’m feeling the same nervousness now. Sir is a simple film with grand emotions. It has simple acting, simple story, but has a grand message. It’s not preachy, but the movie is thoroughly entertaining. I know we’ve done a simple meaningful film. This film is your story.
I thank Trivikram for the warm welcome. Yuvaraj is such a positive energy. It’s so wonderful to see Thaman who didn’t work for the movie has come for the event. A big thanks to him from team Sir. Your work in Akhanda was fantastic. I’m proud of GV Prakash’s work. I hope you all like and enjoy the film. I’ll give a proper Telugu speech for my next film.”
