Despite the fact that outgoing producer C Kalyan made huge accusations about the possibility of Guild, which contested as Progressive Producers Panel in the Telugu Film Producers Council, taking over the office, it looks like most of the members of the Council are interested only in them. And the results of the Council reflect this.
Guild member Damodara Prasada alias Damu has won the President seat of Producers Council with 339 votes, while Gemini Kiran lost the election as he got only 315 votes. Nagarjuna’s niece Supriya and producer Ashok got elected as Vice-Presidents, while Prasanna Kumar and YVS Chowdary won as Honb’e Secretaries. Many members from the Guild including Dil Raju, DVV Danayya, Sravanthi Ravikishore, Bekkem Venugopal, 14+ Reels Gopi Achanta, Abhishek Aggarwal and others have got elected as EC members.
Well, now that Dil Raju’s gang aka Guild folks have swept almost all the posts at the Office, we have to see what difference they will make to the Producers Council and how their decisions are going to iron out the current issues in the Telugu film industry.
