Pan-India success of south movies is pushing popular Bollywood actors in signing regional language movies. Right now, various Bollywood stars are working on South Indian projects. Here is a look at them.
Amitabh Bachchan:
Big B Amitabh Bachchan made his Telugu debut by playing a cameo in the 2014 film Manam. He then played a key role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. He is now working for Prabhas- Nag Ashwin’s magnum-opus Project K. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is making her Telugu debut with this flick.
Sanjay Dutt:
Sanjay Dutt’s first appearance in a Telugu film was in Nagarjuna’s romantic drama Chandralekha. Recently, he played the antagonist role in KGF Chapter: 2. Currently, he is making his Tamil debut with Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo. It is also heard that he will play a key role in Prabhas-Maruthi’s upcoming film Raja Deluxe. An official announcement regarding this news is yet to be made.
Saif Ali Khan:
Saif will make his South debut with Prabhas’s pan-India flick Adipurush. He plays Ravanasura in this movie. It is heard that he will play the antagonist in NTR 30, which is directed by Koratala Siva.
Nawazuddin Siddique:
Nawazuddin Siddique made his Tamil debut with the 2019 film Petta. Now, he is set to make his Telugu debut with Venkatesh’s upcoming film Saindhav.
Bobby Deol:
Senior Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is all set to make his Telugu debut with Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This period drama is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
Abhishek Bachchan:
As per reports, director Gautham Menon is planning a multi-starrer with Vijay Sethupathi and Abhishek Bachchan. Apparently, Gautham narrated the script to Abhishek but the latter is yet to take a call. If he signs the project, it will be his maiden film down the South.
