Veteran filmmaker K Viswanath’s wife Jayalakshmi passed away today due to age-related ailments. Jayalakshmi was 86-year-old. The nonagenarian critically acclaimed director K Viswanath passed away on 2nd February, 2023. Just 24 days after K Viswanath’s demise, Jayalakshmi too lost her life.
According to reports, Jayalakshmi was unwell on Sunday evening. She was rushed to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills. However, she breathed her last while undergoing the treatment. With this, family members are inconsolable as they lost the two big wigs of the family. The family is yet to recover from the demise of K Viswanath’s passing away. In between, yet another tragedy struck them in the form of Jayalaksmi’s demise. Jayalakshmi is survived by three children – one daughter and two sons who are settled in other professions.
K Viswanath had married Jayalakshmi when he was 20-year-old. At that time, K Viswanath was not yet settled in his profession. However, he had paid heed to his parents advice and married Jayalakshmi. Viswanath had never discussed films or his work at his home. He himself had revealed this before. Once, K Viswanath had revealed that his wife Jayalakshmi would only give feedback on his films that they were good. He said she would not do any analysis of his films.
