Well, it all started with the “Hollywood Critics Association” awards event, where many hosts addressed Ram Charan as Global Star. Later, even the official handles of HCA started tweeting with the hashtag ‘Global Star Ram Charan’, and that led to an outrage on social media between the fans of Charan and Jr NTR. It has reached a stage where the individual praises by Megastar, Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu also got trolled, as fans felt that these three ignored Jr NTR in their appreciation posts for Charan and RRR.
More than anything, when Ram Charan presented the award along with co-host Monica Gleberman, who happens to be the Managing Editor of Time Warner Entertainment, heaped praises on the “RRR” star. Now that, the idea of Charan being called a ‘Global Star’ has become a controversy here, some hardcore fans went on abusing even Monica on her Twitter, saying that ‘mega mafia’ jumped into the scene and is trying to make Charan a big star. One tweet from her has surely upset all her critics as she stated that she is neither paid nor there are any other benefits when it comes to praising Charan except for the fact that she loves Ram.
On the other hand, the moment Monica made these tweets, some other NTR fans started abusing her more, saying that how could she understand Telugu tweets if she is not being paid and directed by someone else? She even clarified that she used translators and understood the gist, and then started blocking these abusive fans.
For the unknown, Monica Gleberman is an Emmy-nominated host, and thinking that she would have taken money to call Charan a ‘Global Star’ or praise him, is something foolish.
To another tweet where an user asked to imagine how tough it is for Rajamouli to make a movie with NTR and Charan, she replied, “I know. Both of the actors see my feed. But they are both soooo sweet. So idk why the fighting but it happens in fandoms. But the movie was 💯💯”
