Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release, “Pathaan,” continues to dominate the box office in India. The action-thriller has reportedly earned Rs 529.7 crore domestically and Rs 1027 crore worldwide, according to Bollywood talk.
The Hindi version of the film has now surpassed the all-time record of Rs 511 crore nett previously held by “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.” To further boost ticket sales, Yash Raj Films reduced prices to Rs 110 across the country and introduced a buy-one-get-one-free scheme.
Despite the feeble challenge posed by recent releases, “Selfiee” and “Shehzada,” “Pathaan” remains the first choice for audiences. “Selfiee,” which stars Akshay Kumar, has reportedly made only Rs 13.7 crore as it enters its second weekend, while “Shehzada,” starring Kartik Aaryan, has barely scraped past Rs 30 crore in two weeks.
“Pathaan” is projected to earn Rs 1 crore on its 38th day of release, and with the upcoming release of “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar,” directed by Luv Ranjan, its business may be affected. Nevertheless, “Pathaan” has broken records and continues to be unstoppable at the box office.
