Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her Bollywood debut with the Hindi web series The Family Man season 2. Directed by Raj and DK, this series is one of the most popular web shows in India. Samantha received universal acclaim for her performance as an antagonist in the second season.
Now, she teamed up with Raj and DK once again for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming web series Citadel. It is an official adaptation of the English series of the same name. Varun Dhawan is playing the lead hero in it. Touted to be an action thriller, the shoot of Citadel is currently underway.
Sam is reprising Priyanka Chopra’s role from the original. Speaking about her character, Raj and DK said that they are going to use the best of her abilities for this series. They said that there are more challenging scenes and high-octane stunts for Samantha in this show. When compared to their previous outing, The Family Man, the current show will have more action for Samantha.
Recently, Samantha posted a picture of her hand getting bruised. “Perks of Action,” she captioned the photo. Going by Raj and DK’s statements, it looks like we are going to see Sam in a more intense and action-oriented avatar in Citadel.
On the other hand, Samantha’s next release in Telugu is Shakuntalam.
