Wall Street Journal Hails PR For ’Naatu Naatu’

Published by

After the likes of Variety and HCA hailed “RRR” for its brilliance in terms of visual grandeur, narrative and the brotherhood between the lead characters, here comes a report about the iconic film in the business-newspaper Wall Street Journal. But this time, the credit is not given to either Rajamouli or the lead actors, Charan & Tarak, regarding this phenomenal film.

Apparently, WSJ’s special write-up on “RRR” spoke about the iconic “Naatu Naatu” song that got nominated for the Oscars. Speaking about the song, WSJ felt that a major part of the credit goes to choreographer Prem Rakshit for coming up with such terrific output which has actually outshined many top and legendary song composers there. More than music, the lyrics and the actors who danced well, WSJ felt that choreography is the key element of the song, and interviewed PR as well.

“I’ve come up with hundreds of hook-step ideas for Naatu Naatu as I’ve to keep the body language and dancing styles of both the lead actors in the mind. Finally, Rajamouli zeroed on one, and we have this beautiful output coming up” said Prem Rakshit, while the Wall Street Journal writeup covered more about his style of using the suspenders of the dress inside the dance.
