Versatile actor Vasanth Ravi, who is known for his brilliant performances in Taramani (2017) & Rocky (2021), is set to star in the lead role of the upcoming psychological horror thriller ‘ASVINS.’ This exciting project will be directed by debutant Tarun Teja. Ace producer BVSN Prasad bankrolling the project under his banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra.
Tarun Teja, a filmmaker and screenwriter, has dual bases in Chennai, India, and Wolfsburg, Germany. He has gained acclaim for his thought-provoking short films, some of which have received international recognition at various European International Film Festivals and Independent Film Community in Europe.
The film is based on his 20-minute pilot film of Tarun that stunned the critics and audiences. The movie is a psychological horror that follows a group of YouTubers who unwittingly become victims of a 1500-year-old curse that unleashes evil from darkness into the human world.
The movie is presented by Bapineedu B, and co-produced by Praveen Daniel. This exciting project also stars Vimala Raman, Muralidaran, Saras Menon, Udhaya Deep (a National Award-winning actor for “Nila Kalam”), and Simran Pareek in pivotal roles. The music is being composed by Vijay Siddharth, the cinematography is being handled by Edwin Sakay, and Venkat Raajen is overseeing the editing work.
