Avatar: The Way Of Water won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects at the 95th Academy Awards.

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water winning the Oscar in the Best Visual Effects category is not a surprise.

The Avatar sequel also received nominations in the Best Picture, Best Achievement in Production Design, and Best Sound categories.

James Cameron picked up three Oscar wins in 1998, including Best Picture and Director for Titanic.

James Cameron could not attend the Oscars due to personal reasons. James attended a dinner with other nominees on Saturday night.
