With the success of various pan-India films, the crossover between the actors and directors is happening in various film industries. Language is no more a barrier to working with a certain actor or a director. We have seen Telugu directors like Vamshi Paidipally and Venky Atluri making films with Tamil heroes like Vijay and Dhanush. In the same way, Kannada directors are now focusing on Telugu heroes.
If we take the name of Kannada cinema, Prashanth Neel’s name will pop up in our minds. Such is the impact he created in our minds with his blockbuster Kannada film franchise, KGF. After the success of KGF, Neel teamed up with Telugu hero Prabhas for the film Salaar. After completing Salaar, he will be teaming up with Jr NTR for a high-budget action project. NTR will be doing this project after completing his ongoing film with Koratala Siva.
A. Harsha is another Kannada director who is making his debut in Tollywood. Harsha recently scored a hit with Shiva Rajkumar’s Veda. He has now joined hands with Gopichand for an action drama. This movie was launched earlier this week. KK Radhamohan is bankrolling the project under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Art Productions.
Director Narthan shot to fame with Kannada hit Mufti. He recently made Bhairathi Ranagal with Shiva Rajkumar. It will hit the screens very soon. Meanwhile, we now hear that he will do his next project with Ram Charan. The RRR star will begin Narthan’s project after completing his films with Shankar and Buchi Babu Sana. We have to see how Telugu audiences will receive these Kannada directors.
