BO: September, A Busy Month For Tollywood

Published by

Generally, September will most likely be a dry month for the film industry as there will be no big releases lined up in that period unless there is a festival like Vinayaka Chavithi or Dasara. But this year, we are going to witness a big release every week in September.

Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakona will kickstart September with his film Khushi. Starring Samantha as the female lead, this film is directed by Shiva Nirvana. It was initially supposed to hit the screens in December 2022, but due to the delay of the shoot, the makers decided to release it on September 1, 2023. Khushi will have a pan-India release.

Nandamuri Balakrishna teamed up with Anil Ravipudi for a unique action thriller. Tentatively called NBK 108, the shoot of this film is currently underway in Hyderabad. Kajal Aggarwal and Sree Leela play the main roles in it. Recently, the makers unveiled Balayya’s first-look posters from the movie and they got a terrific response from the audience. The team is planning to release the film on September 13.

Recently, Natural Star Nani announced a new film with a new director Shouryuv. Sita Ramam fame Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead in it. Apparently, this film will hit the screens in the second half of September.

Prabhas is going to end the month in a grand way with his much-hyped film Salaar. Directed by Prashanth Neel, this action thriller features Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the other key roles. Salaar is slated for a pan-India release on September 28, 2023. Let’s hope all these films become huge hits and turn money-spinners for the industry.
