Priyanka Chopra Refers RRR As Tamil Film, Gets Trolled & Schooled

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra hosted a pre-Oscar party to the South-Asian talent, and the Oscar winners RRR team was a part of it. But, in a recent incident, Priyanka Chopra triggered the Twitter chaos and directed all the trolls to herself by referring RRR as a Tamil film.

Priyanka Chopra was in a converation wuth Dax Shepard on hos pdcast titled Armchair Expert. When Shepard made a mistake by calling the RRR a Bollywood film, Priyanka Chopra confidently corrected him by referring RRR as a ‘Tamil film’.

Shepard compared Bollywood to be like the 50s of Hollywood when a few stars and big studios controlled everything. Priyanka agreed to his comment and said , ‘don’t think you are far from it. I think that was what it was big studios, five actors big movies will be made by them; but the game is changed so much now. First of all, it’s streaming. It has given access to so many people who are making content. Bollywood has evolved’.

Then the host mentioned S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, whose song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won big at the 95th Oscar Awards. Priyanka Chopra was quick to correct him but only to end up doing a blunder. Priyanka said, ‘That’s a Tamil movie by the way. It’s like big, mega, blockbuster Tamil which does all of those it’s like our Avengers.‘

The Twitter went on rage due to her lack of clarity. Many Telugu folks started trolling her and expressed their disappointment with Priyanka’s ignorant talk.
