The film industry is a fragile space. You stay here only if you deliver hits regularly. One big flop may completely damage an actor or a director’s career. Bouncing back from such a flop will be a tough task. Director Koratala Siva has that task ahead now.
Koratala Siva teamed up with Jr NTR for the film NTR 30. It was launched a few days ago, and the regular shooting will begin soon. This is Koratala’s immediate film after his career’s only and first disaster, Acharya. The horrors of Acharya still haunt Koratala.
This talented director made his debut with Mirchi in 2013. It was a blockbuster. Later, he delivered consecutive hits with Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, and Bharat Ane Nenu. He had a 100% hit record. However, Acharya removed that tag by becoming a flop. On top of that, the film’s lead hero Chiranjeevi blamed Koratala Siva for its failure. The impact was so much on Koratala that he didn’t appear publicly for over a year.
Koratala decided to team up with NTR while Acharya was on the sets. After RRR, NTR became a Global Star. Then, he asked Koratala to come up with a pan-India story. Thus, Koratala started working on the script and brought in a universal appeal. He took more than a year for pre-production.
During the launch, he expressed immense confidence in this subject. He also brought talented technicians on board. As it is NTR’s immediate film after RRR, the whole world will be looking forward to it. Koratala never directed a pan-India film before. So, he is entering a new league with additional baggage. It will be a tough road ahead for him. We have to see if he successfully surpasses these challenges. NTR 30 is slated for a worldwide release on April 5, 2024.
