Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s career is like a tipsy-topsy curve. If he scores one hit, he comes up with a couple of flops. The same trend has been repeating for many years. Now, he is awaiting the release of his new film Ravanasura, directed by Sudheer Varma.
Ravi Teja is high on the successes of his last two films, Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya. Both films were released in a span of less than a month and went on to become blockbusters at the box office. All of a sudden, Ravi’s career graph peaked at a higher level.
Now, he is aiming to score a hat-trick with Ravanasura. It is hitting the screens this Friday. Going by trailer and promos, it looks like Ravi is playing an anti-hero in this movie. Films with grey-shaded lead heroes are a rarity in Telugu cinema and we have to appreciate Ravi for choosing such a subject.
All we need to see is whether audiences accept this movie or not. On the other side, Nani’s Dasara is having a sensational run in theatres. It will be a big hurdle for Ravanasura. The Ravi Teja film should be exceptional to outshine Dasara.
Anyway, we will know its fate on April 7. Ravanasura features Sushanth in a key role. Anu Emmanuel, Faria Abdullah and Megha Akash play female leads in it.
