Radhika Apte is one of the much-talked-about actors in Bollywood cinema. She is currently busy with the promotions of her next release, Mrs. Undercover. As part of the promotions, she took part in the We The Women event, where she opened up about her experience negotiating for equal pay on a “very big production” project.
The 34-year-old Bollywood actress spoke at length about the issue of sexism in the entertainment industry and how it affects women’s salaries.
When asked about the trend of women-led films gaining more recognition, she said, “It’s high time that we have equality. The world is changing, and everyone is fighting for equal rights, pay, job opportunities, and recognition. The film industry is just a reflection of what’s going on in society, and the world is changing slowly.”
Mrs. Undercover is directed and written by debutant director Anushree Mehta. Produced by B4U Motion Pictures in association with Jaadugar Films and Knight Sky Movies, the film is all set to premiere on 14th April 2023.
