Last night in Hyderabad, the Telugu Film Industry felicitated the Oscar winning team of MM Keeravani and Chandrabose for bringing home an Academy trophy in the Best Original Song category. Along with them, even the likes of SS Rajamouli, the director of the film, were present. However, the ‘CelebRRRations’ were not felt as sparkling and radiant as they should be. And here’s the cause.
First of all, the film’s leading stars, both Ram Charan and Jr NTR were absent from the celebrations, thus disappointing the fans of the RRR who were waiting to see them together once again on the stage. While Charan just returned from the Maldives holiday, Jr NTR has wrapped the first schedule of #NTR30 in Hyderabad. Forget about the RRR stars, what about the other actors who should actually join the felicitation event?
The event has the likes of Allu Arvind, Dil Raju, Trivikram, K Raghavendra Rao and some other stalwarts, but surprisingly there is no presence of any star hero or heroine to honour the “RRR” team. One wonders if the likes of Megastar Chiru, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vijay Devarakonda and so many other happening heroes should be present, but none of them are there. One wonders if “TFI” means just producers and directors, but not artists.
At the same time, the felicitation event didn’t see any special attractions to honour the RRR team, and it looks like the industry has avoided doing any starry affairs.
