VV Vinayak is one of the prolific directors in Telugu cinema. In a career spanning over two decades, Vinayak delivered many blockbusters. But of late, he is not on the radar due to the advent of new-age directors and even luck is not in his favor.
Vinayak is not a writer-director. He doesn’t write and only directs films. Earlier, he used to have a solid writing team who helped him in making big blockbusters. But these days, every writer aspires to be a director himself. Thus, Vinayak is unable to find good writers who can come up with contemporary ideas.
As a result, many of his projects are not getting started. Vinayak planned to make a film with Balakrishna. But lack of a writing team is holding the project and Vinayak is not able to come up with a story that suits Balayya. Even Chiranjeevi offered a film to Vinayak, considering he came up with a good script. Even that is still pending on Vinayak’s front.
As of now, Vinayak is doing Chatrapati’s Hindi remake. But there is no clarity about his future project.
Thus, Vinayak is unable to make films even though he has great potential as a commercial filmmaker. Despite enjoying a big stardom once upon a time, Vinayak is struggling to survive amidst the growing talents in the film industry.
