Shakuntalam is one of the upcoming Telugu films which is carrying a positive buzz in the film industry. The makers organized a special premiere show recently in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, everyone is curious to see how the film performs. During the film’s promotions, one actor who caught the spotlight is Dev Mohan. The Malayalam actor is marking his Telugu debut with this movie. It is worth noting that Dev Mohan is five years younger than Samantha.
Dev Mohan was born on September 18, 1992, in Thrissur, Kerala. He pursued mechanical engineering and worked in a corporate company in Bangalore for a few years.
Dev has been fond of exercising since his childhood and used to go to the gym every day, even when he was in Bangalore. It was during one of his gym visits that he met a model who advised him to participate in Mr. India contests, given his good physique. Taking the advice seriously, Dev participated in the competition held in Mumbai in 2016 and was selected as a finalist. Later, he took part in various fashion shows.
Dev’s talent and potential were soon recognized, and he was offered the role of Samantha’s romantic interest in the movie Shakuntalam, much to his surprise.
Expressing his delight on sharing the screen with Samantha, Dev said that he learned many things from her. Since he was new to the environment and Telugu language, he appealed to Samantha on the first day of shooting that he would ask any doubts during the shooting and cooperate in acting.
Dev’s first movie, ‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’, was released in 2020. After that, he played a guest role in the movie ‘Home,’ which was released in 2021. His third film, ‘Patrandu,’ was released in 2022. With the experience of these three films, Dev is now entering Tollywood.
Even before the release of Shakuntalam, Dev Mohan also signed a new film with Rashmika titled Rainbow.
