Bimbisara director Vashishta was the initial name that did rounds in tinsel town for Superstar Rajinikanth. In fact, Vashishta met Rajinikanth and even narrated a storyline which Rajini immensely liked and asked him to develop further. It was producer Dil Raju who connected Vashishta and Rajinikanth. However, Vashishta moved onto UV Creations production and is all set to direct Mega Star Chiranjeevi.
Meanwhile, Dil Raju smartly pitched Bobby’s name to Rajinikanth. Since Bobby is riding high with the success of Chiru’s Waltari Veerayya, Rajini too gave his nod and Raju made the news official. It is strongly buzzed in film circles that Bobby replaced Bimbisara director for Rajinikanth film as Rajini and Dil Raju had already planned to collaborate.
It can be noted that Dil Raju has aggressive plans to enter into the Tamil market, Hindi market and other languages. He produced Varisu/Vaarasudu with Vijay Thalapathy. He is going to produce another film with Vijay as well. Now, he is making a film with Rajinikanth.
