Akhil Akkineni and Surender Reddy’s crazy spy action thriller Agent produced by Anil Sunkara on AK Entertainments is coming in theatres on April 28th. The film’s trailer will be out on the 18th of this month. Today, the team addressed the media to share their experiences of working for the movie. They put check on all rumours on the movie.
Surender Reddy said, “This movie gave a good experience for all of us. More than anybody else, Akhil gave everything for the movie. It’s no easy thing to maintain the body for nearly two years. He never showed frustration with anyone on the set. I only used 50% of him. Anil Sunkara lent complete support. Mammootty is one of the biggest highlights. Dino Morea was also very good. He killed it. Sakshi gave a wonderful performance. She didn’t even do any workshops. There’s no inspiration for the movie. I hope I did full justice.”
The director revealed that he was in critical condition when he got covid while they were shooting in Budapest. “I was in the hospital for 6 months. I was put on a ventilator for 20 days. That was one of the main reasons for the delay. I also got injured while shooting for an action sequence. We shot the entire movie in nearly 102 days.”
Akhil said, “Agent was my most memorable journey. It has changed my life mentally and physically. I clearly remember I was sitting in the production house when the story narration was happening, Suri bhai told me that he would trouble me and that I need to bear with it. I promised him that I would go to any extent. I achieved this transformation because of Surender Reddy. He was my boss. This journey was crazy and the character was wild.
As an actor, whatever the boundary line I had, I gave everything for the movie. Dino was so supportive. It was a healthy competition between us. I hope Agent will open so many doors for Sakshi. She’ll go places. Mammootty is one of the biggest legends that Indian Cinemas has seen. Sharing screen space with him was a big thing. Working with him was scary and inspiring at the same time. Anil is the only producer we could have had for this movie.
Agent is a high-octane rollercoaster ride. We tried to give a high rush in the theatres. We didn’t drop Pan India release plans. Telugu is our prime priority. It’s an outstanding date. Salman Kahn sir’s movie is releasing. We don’t have enough time for promotions.”
