Making Video: Vikram’s Shocking Transformation As ‘Thangalaan’

The making video of the much-awaited movie ‘Thangalaan’ directed by Pa Ranjith and starring Vikram, was released on the occasion of the actor’s 57th birthday. The film is said to be based on true events about Tamil workers who worked in the Kolar Gold Fields during the pre-independence period.

On the occasion of Vikram’s birthday today, PA Ranjith wrote, “Happy birthday to my #Thangalaan, @chiyaan sir. Presenting you a slice of flesh, a grand making visual video of Thangalaan as our humble tribute to Chiyaan. #HBDChiyaanVikram.”

In addition to Vikram, the movie also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathi, and Hollywood star Daniel Caltagirone in significant roles. KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green and Neelam Productions are producing the film, while the music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and A Kishor Kumar is the cinematographer.

Ranjith’s last directorial venture was ‘Natchathiram Nagargirathu,’ and Vikram’s last appearance was in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan-1’.
