Star heroine Samantha came up with her latest release Shaakuntalam. Directed by Gunasekhar, this is a mythological epic that was made on a massive budget of around 80 crores.
Though it had a pan-India release, Shaakuntalam failed to collect a gross of even ten crores. It ended up as a huge loss venture for all parties involved. Amidst this negative talk and poor performance, Samantha shared a cryptic post this morning.
She shared a picture of herself and wrote a verse from Bhagavadgita. The verse read, “Karmanye vadhika raste… Ma phaleshu kadachana… Ma karma phala he tur bhuh…Ma te sangotsva karmani.” It translates to, “You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions. Don’t let the fruit be the purpose of your actions. Thus, you won’t be attached to not doing your duty.”
Now, people are wondering if she is indirectly hinting at Shaakuntalam’s release. Only she can answer. Meanwhile, Samantha will be next seen in the film Kushi, which is slated for a worldwide release on September 1. Vijay Deverakonda plays the lead hero in it.
