Whenever their film releases are around, back then Tamanna used to talk about how the south audience would call her ‘milky’ which she doesn’t like at all, while Radhika Apte talks about the treatment she met on the sets of a south film by a top star, just to get that extra hype for those movies. Though such tricks are not working, even curly haired seductress Taapsee Pannu screams for attention in the same fashion.
Though Taapsee did lots of glamorous roles in Telugu movies, she never shot to fame as a star heroine because all the films she featured in, turned out to be flops. With offers thinning down, she moved to Mumbai and started pursuing things there, which worked somehow. More than her bikini shows and sultry looks, her performance oriented films have clicked there. Right now she got to feature with Shah Rukh Khan in PK director Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. With herself in a good position now, the actress said recently, south films never gave her good roles and the chance to showcase her acting potential.
One wonders why did the actress do a lot of Telugu films when the roles being offered to her are not great? People are saying that she made lots of money here by doing all those movies, and how come she now says that the South doesn’t offer her good roles? In case if she failed to do well like an Ileana in Bollywood, what would be her comment then? Well, Taapsee got the attention anyway with these remarks.
