For the kind of success “RX100” has given him, surely director Ajay Bhupathi is not only on cloud nine but many thought that he will become a next-level director too. However, he has undone himself with “Mahasamudram” by talking a lot about it but then the film’s poor show at the box office was a hard hit for him. And now, he is coming up with Payal Rajput’s Mangalavaram.
Other day the first look of the film got released and it appears that presenting Payal in a backless avatar is just an attention-seeking trick. If we look at RX100, it is an intense love story with one major twist that works, but then, the director seems to have lost that touch and made a completely crap film that was out rightly rejected.
Now he is coming up with this women-centric movie, which has Payal splashing her sensuousness. But then, people are not really expecting such attention-seeking films from him, but only love stories that have a dose of action.
In the past, many directors like Pilla Zamindar Ashok and others have tilted towards women-centric films after delivering good commercial films, but they haven’t made big from there. Many are wondering if Ajay Bhupati is also spoiling his credit and moving to that zone.
