On Friday, the highly-anticipated Ponniyin Selvan 2, starring the likes of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Aishwarya Rai finally hit theatres. On this eve, former Miss India Aishwarya Rai shared several photos from the promotional activity and one photo featuring her alongside Vikram particularly caught our attention. Her husband Abhishek Bachchan even showed his approval by reacting to it.
In the snapshot, Aishwarya appears in a kurta suit whereas Vikram shows up in formal clothes. Making a heart shape with their hands, they are evidently playing star-crossed lovers in Ponniyin Selvan. The post drew love from fans, as well as her husband Abhishek Bachchan, liking it. It’s noteworthy that prior to this project, the actors have previously worked together for Mani Ratnam’s Raavan movie in 2010; In an interview, Vikram said he shared a special friendship with Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan along with Amitabh Bachchan whom he has maintained a good rapport with.
