The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the trailer of the upcoming movie ‘The Kerala Story’.
According to Vijayan, the film is aimed at spreading hate propaganda and communal polarisation against the state. The movie revolves around the disappearance of 32,000 women from Kerala who are said to have joined extremist organisations in Iraq and Syria.
Vijayan stated that the movie’s theme is based on the false allegations of ‘love jihad’, which have been rejected by investigating agencies, courts, and the Union Home Ministry.
The Chief Minister accused the Sangh Parivar of spreading such myths and trying to break the atmosphere of religious harmony in the state. He also urged the people of Kerala to reject such communal and divisional attempts and remain vigilant against false propaganda. The movie is set to release on May 5, 2023.
